___Some interesting info about the house:
“Barns Crossing”
The house is situated on 3.9 acres in the Northwest woods, home to many in film, fine arts and fashion, who located there for privacy and creative inspiration. Among them was Minoru Niizuma, a stone sculptor and friend and contemporary of famed sculptor Noguchi, who built what is now the home’s renovated guest wing in the 1970’s, welcoming artists and friends like John Lenon and Yoko Ono. Mr. Niizuma’s enormous artist studio was on the exact footprint of what is now the main house, and he chose this property because of the peaceful nature of the woods and the sanctity of the site based on the huge 7-foot-high stone formation that sits just outside the property’s edge, called Jason’s Rock. Legend has it that the rock holds a pool of water in its crest even during the hottest days of summer, and was a source of nourishment for a Native American who drank from the rock on long journeys from town to town. The house is named Barns Crossing in honor of Jason’s legendary crossings.
